Cocina Garbí: a kitchen renovation, seen before the work starts
A 3.20 × 2.60 m kitchen. The client sees it in 3D, compares a straight layout with an L-shaped one, and receives a plan, materials and an itemised estimate.

The brief
A kitchen is decided piece by piece: where the hob, the sink and the fridge go, which fronts, which worktop, which floor. A 2D plan is hard to picture, and every change of mind during the work is expensive.
What we built
- 3D model of the kitchen with light and shadows, rotated with a mouse or a finger, plus a plan view.
- Two layouts: straight, with 2.6 m of worktop, and L-shaped, with 4.0 m of worktop and a tall pantry unit.
- Three cabinet fronts (matt white, sage green and natural oak), three worktops, three splashbacks and three floors, combinable.
- Modelled appliances: induction hob, oven, hood, fridge, dishwasher and sink.
- A dimensioned plan, redrawn with every layout.
- A materials list with quantities calculated from the model, including waste and cutting allowance.
- An estimate in twelve items (removal, plumbing, electrics, tiling, flooring, painting, units, worktop, appliances, sink, fitting and waste) that updates instantly.
- Estimated duration of the works (12 to 17 working days depending on the options) and a summary of the choices, ready to send.
- Spanish, English and Catalan, desktop and mobile.
What the client gains
The client decides with the kitchen in front of them, and every installer receives the same project, with dimensions and finishes defined, so the quotes can be compared.
Technology
Three.js with real-time materials and shadows. Quantities and amounts are calculated from the dimensions of the model itself. The example prices are fictitious; on a real project we use the ones for your area.
